Sunday Night Update

The last few weeks have flown by. My days have been filled with going to school lunch and the Bridge! Our kick off event at Lawrence St. Park (AKA The Party of Awesomeness) as you can see from the pictures above was a lot of fun! We had over 200 kids there that night and they had fun chasing a cage ball around, playing dodgeball and kickball, sliding on the inflatables and eating hot dogs and popcorn!

Cool Picture

This picture is a friend of mine's taken @ Twin Lakes in Colorado. I have hiked there several times and thought this was a cool pic so I would share it!

Back into the swing of things, school lunch/going to the Bridge. Today I got spit on in the lunchroom, he didn't mean to, just got so excited and kinda forgot about having food in his mouth. This happens more than I care to admit. Tomorrow is the big kick off to middle school ministry in Zeeland, so if you know any middle schoolers get them over to Lawrence St. Park tomorrow night from 6-8pm. Inflatable games/music/hot dogs/sno cones/cotton candy/popcorn/prizes and it's all FREE!

Tomorrow is also my dad's birthday (the big 6-0) If you happen to see him wish him Happy Birthday!

1st Day of School

Do you remember your first day of 7th grade? I remember mine, I could hardly wait to get home and tell my mom about jr high and how much I liked it more than elementary school. I was nervous at first, but quickly found my niche. Yesterday was the first day of school in Zeeland, and I am sure that there was a lot of nervousness. I got to school lunch and went right to the 6th grade hallway to help them with their lockers. I love 6th graders, and I love helping them with their lockers, when I get it open I know I have made a good first impression. (when I can't get it open I usually ask if they are sure this is their locker...you would be surprised how many times we are trying to open the wrong locker :) I met up with one of the girls that I took to camp. She told me about all the drama with her parents and the choices that they had been making, all I can say is keep praying for the staff of YFC and the kids that we run into like this girl on a daily basis.

On a lighter note, I went to see Tara's little Caleb this afternoon. He is so cute! And, he is doing so much better, the pneumonia is gone and he is regulating his blood sugar on his own. Praise God! Thanks for all the prayers for them last week!
