In July we went to the Ottawa County Fair....as you can see from the pictures both of the girls had fun! Jackie has always loved the carousel but you should have seen her light up when we asked if she wanted to ride a real horse! It is hard to tell but she is wearing a crown that she won at a game just before the ride....just like a real princess! Grace loved it too! If you asked her if she wanted to go on the rides the answer was always "YEAH!" We walked through the 4-H barns and had fun petting all the animals, especially Sean and Kayley's sheep.
Right before Mom and Kelly left for Charleston we all went to the beach....I think everyone in Holland had the same idea because boy was it busy! Jackie had no fear in the water...she went out to the "deep deep water" with Adam and had a riot! She also loved chasing the sea gulls or as she calls them "dirty birds!" Grace was content to eat snacks and stomp down every sandcastle that I tried to make. It sure has been a fun summer!
