What a Group!

Thanks to Tara for taking this picture and for being there last weekend, I couldn't have done it without you! We had a lot of fun last weekend and to top it all off 5 girls made re-commitments Saturday night!

Winter Rafting

So I was getting ready this morning and heard on the TV that you can go rafting in the winter in Michigan up in Charlevoix.....this really caught my attention! I want to try it, is sounds really cool....anyone interested in going with?

Camp Geneva Here We Come!

So this is winter camp weekend! At YFC we take kids to camp in the summer and then to a re-treat in the winter. I am looking forward to this one, I have a lot of new girls coming and it should be a good time. Last time Tara and I took girls out to Geneva for Winter Camp it was so cold you couldn't be outside.....hopefully that will not be the case this year. Yesterday Tara and I went and got all the essentials, candy, pop, fruit (when we feel like we've had our fill of peanut butter cups we have something to munch on), cards and magazines. This morning I came in to the office and called all my girls, let's just hope they all show up tomorrow morning!

Next week I start coaching basketball. Can't wait, usually basketball is in the fall but they switched the middle school seasons to match up with the high school. At then end of that season we go right into softball and the means that spring isnt' too far away! Other than that not much to report!

Tubing @ Double JJ Ranch

If you are looking for something to do and your not a big ski/snowboard person this winter, I recommend tubing @ Double JJ Ranch! It's a great set up 4 tubing lanes they provide the tubes and even pull you up the hill. The hill faces the sun and over looks the dog sledding too! If you haven't been up there it's a cool place to go check out, and if your not an outdoorsy person in the winter try the water park, it looked like a lot of fun! Grandma Jackie you would love the tubing hill!

Snow

I don't know about you but these are the winter days that I hate! Snow and gray and Christmas is over so mentally I am done with snow....Unfortunately it's not done with us. I miss seeing the sun! So I am going to try to have a better attitude about it, think about something else....like 36 days until the Olympics, something to look forward to right? I start coaching basketball on the 25th also something to look forward to.....Softball season starts on March 9 and although it is usually cold and sometime snowy for that playing softball sound/feels like warmer weather. So as my Aunt Cheryl would say...."Isn't it pretty though!?!?"
