The Game of Life

Yesterday I was playing LIFE with some kids at the Bridge. One of the girls that was playing is now in high school and loving it. In fact, every time I ask her about it she says, "I love high school, I have a boyfriend, and I'm popular!" I am so glad that she is having a good year. Anyway, we got to the point in the game where you "get married" and she says, "Oh good, I'm glad I'm not single anymore. I used to eat a lot of chocolate when I was single." I laughed and laughed, maybe you had to be there or know this girl to think it's funny. Happy Friday!

Pumpkins

I carved my first pumpkin of the season last year and I forgot to take a picture of it. My sister, Kelly is a math teacher so she wanted the pi symbol on it....get it Pumpkin Pie! That's ok if you didn't I don't think that all of her students did either. I already have dates set with several families to carve pumpkins and I can't wait! I also made up a bunch of treat bags last night to hand out. Makes me miss Grandma...I wonder what she would have been for Halloween this year. I felt like her the other day, I bought football shaped oreos. Mom always says that she just HAD to have something if it was bigger than normal, smaller than normal or came in a different shape!

I am looking forward to next year Halloween too! I will have a new little cousin and new niece or nephew to carve pumpkins with!
