Halloween Costume

My Halloween costume arrived in the mail today....for some of you reading this I know you might think it is a little odd already to be thinking about Halloween. BUT, not in my family, you see my Grandma and I were always labeled as the Queens of Halloween. If she were here I am sure that she would have already picked out her costume too. We always had so much fun with Halloween, carving pumpkins, dressing up and going trick or treating. My costume is cute but nothing beats my Grandma's from last year the Hotdog! I am going to miss her a lot around Halloween, but I am sure that she is watching over us making sure that we carry on all the traditions! Miss you Gram! Oh you are probably wondering what I am going to be....Frankenstein!

Picture Post

These are a few pictures from the last couple weeks. I love the last one, Uncle Gary was so excited to let Kelly hold his pistol (no worries, the clip wasn't in).

Morristown

Probably most of you have never heard of Morristown, MI....but that is where I was this weekend. It's close to Kalkaska and Elk Rapids. My Grandpa Don has a hunting cabin up there and I went up with my sister Kelly, Uncle Gary, Aunt Sue, and cousins Ross and Andrea. It was fun even though it was cold, windy and rainy most of the time. We had an interesting discussion about words that we can NOT stand (panties is my word) and words that people pronounce wrong (for example my mom add a "g" in the word onion---ongion)! Sorry mom! We went for a walk on Sunday when the rain let up and we saw bear tracks so that was pretty cool. We have seen Cougars up there too in the past. Makes you think twice about going to the outhouse in the middle of the night! My Uncle Gary led devos each day by reading Proverbs....I think his new favorite word is Sluggard! Anyway a good time was had by all.

2 days into the school year and 2 school lunches down. The 6th grade class seems really big to me. Other than that....school lunch is school lunch, lots of cheesy bread sticks and chicken nuggets (I NEVER eat there by the way). It was good to see all the kids in one place and to get back into a routine. The Bridge was open for the first time yesterday too and we had about 20 kids. I need to put picture on my computer from my camera of last week, (Isaiah at the zoo, Caleb's 1st birthday and the cabin) when I do, I will update again!
