YFC Noah's Ark Trip Pictures

We had a great time in Colorado last week! Can you tell? For a lot of the kids it was there first time in Colorado, I think my cousin Karly was so much in awe of the mountains on the way that she probably took about 30 pictures out of the bus window! The rafting was fun, but I love to watch the kids rock climb and rappel, a lot of them are a little nervous and it is so cool to see them accomplish something that they didn't think they could do. The last night we were at Noah's we had a pretty deep spiritual talk, and I can tell you this that God was working in the hearts of all of us who were on this trip.

Look who's here: Mountain-Shaper! Wind-Maker!
He laid out the whole plot before Adam.
He brings everything out of nothing,
like dawn out of darkness.
He strides across the alpine ridges.
His name is God, God-of-the-Angel-Armies

Noah's Ark Here We Come

Tomorrow I leave for Noah's Ark again! This time with Youth for Christ kids! I am excited because I get to see my friends again, and I get to bring some of my best friends out with me! Tara and Scott are bringing kids from West Ottawa, I have a group from Zeeland, and we also have kids from Holland coming. It should be a great time, and we don't have to drive this year, we rented a bus and a driver from Eagle Crest Ministries. That is awesome, more time to hang out with the kids. If you think of it say a prayer for us this week. We will be back on Friday so hopefully I will have some pictures up next weekend!

Golf Anyone?

Last week YFC got a phone call that someone had paid for us to have a team in the Hospice golf outing. I laughed when Craig asked if I would be interested in playing! I am not much of a golfer, I enjoy it, just not very good, and I really don't play that much so that I my own fault I guess. When my Grandma Audrey passed away I inherited her clubs, which is great I am sure they are great clubs...just one problem they are right handed and I'm not. So I went to the driving range to practice with her clubs...and let's just say it was not going well!

Now I was dreading this whole golf outing thing. I hate not being good at something...especially athletics. I called Tara and she had a solution to my problem...I could use her mom's left handed clubs. Friday morning we golfed and I have to say that I thought we did a great job. 2 under par, not bad for a team who doesn't golf on a regular basis. And, we had a lot of fun! So anyone up for a round of golf, give me a call.
