Rock Climbing...Road Trips...and Hot Dogs?

That's my week in a nutshell.... Rock Climbing---Wish it was me doing the climbing...but this time it's not. This is the first of three weeks that Belay has students out at Camp Geneva! I just was out this morning to check in and make sure everything is going ok. The kids were thrilled to tell me about their adventures on Challenge Island, climbing the tower, blobbing and going on the zip line seems to be the highlight of the week thus far. I can't wait to head back out and listen some more. Thank you to all of you who have supported me and Belay in helping to make this experience possible for these students.
Road Trips and Hot Dogs---Everybody knows you need a hot dog on a road trip....well at least all the kids at VBS at Community Reformed know that. Bible School is this week and I am helping out with the skits and the Bible Stories. The theme for the week is Road Trip--Destination Salvation! The Hot Dog suit was my Grandma Jackie's (when she was 80 she was a hot dog for Halloween). When we are thinking up characters we always try to use what we have, and this seemed like a perfect time to bring out the hot dog suit. It has been a great time so far, highlights including, Kurt being handcuffed in the skit last night, watching kids eat what they thought was dog food (really canned corn beef hash GROSS), and tonight my dad is on center stage burning the biggest pair of tighty whitey underwear we could find! The kids are having fun, and I think some of the leaders are too!
